Luftfahrtmuseum Finowfurt aviation museum is on the west side of Finow airfield. It is one of the biggest private aviation museums in the new Federal States. Over a total area of about 23 hectares, visitors can view original aircraft and an extensive exhibition of technology and engines. The aviation museum on the original site of a military airfield for the German Luftwaffe and then for the Soviet air force after 1945 offers a direct encounter with the aviation history of Brandenburg. The aim of the mainly voluntary staff at the museum for more than 20 years has been to seek to address history, the links between historical technical events and the associated specific human destinies.

The old aircraft and aircraft hangars (Shelter) create a unique ambience in the natural surroundings of Märkische Heide that attracts private persons, families with children, school classes and companies as well as film productions.

Famous and popular major events such as the Ostfahrzeugtreffen aviation festival, Roadrunner´s Paradise Race 61 Rock´n Race Festival and other themed events are a firm tradition.

Location and fittings: Finowfurt airfield, spacious, use of the aviation casino for family celebrations and festival events

Programmes and extras: Guided tours subject to pre-booking, restaurant, museum shop, bus parking space, offer for children
