The Bernau Visitor Center for the Bauhaus UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bernau-Waldfrieden presents itself as elegant, transparent and spacious. The nearly 500-square-meter glass pavilion is located directly opposite the former federal school of the German General Federation of Trade Unions (ADGB), which was built between 1928 and 1930.

The visitor center's permanent exhibition highlights German UNESCO sites in general and those of the Bauhaus era in particular, provides information on the impressive construction and architectural history of the building complex in Bernau, and tells of its extremely eventful, more than 90-year history.

The visitor center is barrier-free and admission is free.

A tour of the interior is possible in conjunction with a guided tour. 

Guided tours of the interior take place on Saturdays and Sundays 11:30 am. Our guided tours start at the Visitor Center and must be booked in advance online in our ticket shop.
