Drahthammer Lock is one of twelve listed historic locks on the Finowkanal, which together overcome a total height difference of 36 metres along a stretch of almost 30 kilometres.

A lock was already constructed at this site during the initial construction of the Finowkanal in 1620. The present lock was completed in 1877 as a double-width chamber lock and is still operated by hand by a lock keeper today.

Nearby is the Familiengarten Eberswalde, a popular destination for families. The surrounding area also offers shopping and dining options. Directly beside the lock, a beer garden opens during the summer months.

Location: Finowkanal (Fik) 73.90 kilometres

Dimensions: Lock chamber: 41.30 m long, 9.60 m wide, Upper and lower gates: 5.29 m wide
