Drahthammer Lock is one of twelve listed locks along the Finow Canal, which overcomes a height difference of 36 metres over a distance of 30 kilometres. The lock was built when the Finow Canal itself was first built in 1620. Today’s lock date from 1877 and is a double width round lock. Portage via the landing stages on the north bank is possible.

Location: Finowkanal (Fik) 73.90 kilometres

Chamber length: 41.3 metres, chamber width: 9.60 metres, drop height: 3.60 metres

Upper gate: 5.29 metres wide, lower gate: 5.29 metres wide

During the season from April to the end of October, the lock is manned daily from 9 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. Current information can be found on the website of the Zweckverband Region Finowkanal (ZRF).
