The start and destination is the town of Groß Köris, right on the Teupitzer Seenkette. The cycle tour can be completed in one or divided into 2 sections of 26 and 69 kilometres. This tour allows cyclists to discover the region of Schenkenländchen, which is steeped in legend, the Unterspreewald Forest and the Golßener Land region, with the picturesque Dahme-Mühlental valley. The tour follows sections of the themed routes along the Dahme Cycle Path, the Hofjagd path and the Gurken cycle path. The path is mainly asphalt or properly surfaced; in some places it follows quiet roads. A detour en route that is particularly recommended is a visit to Europe’s largest tropical leisure park, “Tropical Islands” between Brand and Krausnick. Not only can you bathe in the South Seas here: There are also plenty of places to stay and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep, whether it’s in a five-star hotel, a holiday home, in the Bali Lodge on a tropical beach or – for a touch of real adventure – in a Native American tepee. The cycle tour also passes other sights, such as the Germanic Settlement open-air museum in Klein Köris or the highest elevation in the region, the Wehlaberg where you can climb the wooden observation tower to enjoy a fantastic view across the landscape.
Start/finish: Groß Köris station
