The Hofjagdweg Cycle Path connects the region around Königs Wusterhausen close to Berlin with the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park and Spreewald. The Hofjagdweg Cycle Path takes you past historical sites of Prussian court hunting parties of the 18th and 19th centuries as well as Königs Wusterhausen castle. Before reaching the finish in the Spreewald town of Lübben, you will cycle through the tranquil meadow and river landscape of the Unterspreewald with the Spreewald villages of Groß Wasserburg and Krausnick as well as a fish pond farm between Schlepzig and Lübben.

Length: 68 kilometres (duration: 4 - 5 hours)

Start: Königs Wusterhausen train station
Finish:   Lübben train station
via: Schenkendorf - Krummensee - Groß Köris - Halbe - Märkisch Buchholz - Köthen - Schlepzig - Petkamsberg

Marking: The route sign is a wild boar wearing a crown.

Directions: 
  • Car
  • S-Bahn or regional trains to Königs Wusterhausen

Trail conditions/surface: The route takes you along well-maintained cycle paths, asphalted side roads as well as paved farm tracks and forest paths. Be careful when driving through the villages of Krummensee and Groß Köris, which are cobblestone-paved.

Due to construction work, there is increased traffic volume on the Hofjagdweg Cycle Path between the end of Krummensee and the entrance to Groß Köris.
