Lake Schulzensee is part of the Teupitz waters – a chain of lakes that are connected with each other via canals and which are richly stocked with fish, especially whitefish, zander and eel. The lake is fed by Lake Zemminsee via the drainage trench on the west. It flows out via the Großer Moddersee lake in the east. Between these two waters there is a drawbridge dating from 1786, which is classified as an engineering monument today.

The Teupitz waters are part of the federal waterway system and can be used by motor boats. The areas along the banks of the lakes are characterised by pine forests, areas with sandy, dry grasslands and mixed deciduous forests. The waters are naturally cloudy with a visible depth of less than 50 centimetres. Fishing from the boat is allowed provided the boat is anchored or tied at the bank. There is a marina with slipway by Lake Schulzensee. Lake Schulzensee is populated all round and hard to access from the land. Fishing from a boat is recommended. There is a relatively high level of traffic on the lake in summer.

Facts about the lake:
  • Size: 12 hectares
  • Fish species: Particularly good stocks of zander, eel and whitefish. Pike, common bream, carp and catfish can also be caught.
  • Tenant/operator: Fischereibetrieb Rangsdorf-Teupitz

Sale of fishing permits:

  • Fischerei Rangsdorf-Teupitz, Am Strand 5, 15834 Rangsdorf or Kirchstrasse 13a, 15755 Teupitz, telephone: +49 33766 62357
