The small and idyllically situated natural lake south of Lake Motzen is one of several lakes created in the 19th century when the water level of Lake Töpchin declined significantly. The lake is considered to have abundant fish stocks and is a good choice for both non-predatory and predatory fishing. There are numerous fishing spots on its shores.

Its western shore is characterised by a wetland area. On the eastern side, a forest path branches off from Töpchiner Strasse and runs along the shore, which is closed to motor vehicles. Parking is only possible towards the front near the main road. Fishing from a boat is prohibited on the lake.
