The Fontane hiking trail runs mainly through urban areas between Berlin and Königs Wusterhausen, sometimes past gardens and villages on the banks of Lake Zeuthener See, through the Höllengrund nature conservation area and over the Funkerberg elevation in Königs Wusterhausen. Parks, interesting town centres, memorial sites and Theodor Fontane references make this a fascinating and varied walk. Various cafés and restaurants along the way invite you to linger for a while.
