The short circular walk starts at the former manor house in Briesen and quickly leads into the forest. The detour to the Eichberge presents an elevated view of the small, meandering river Dahme and the wet meadows behind it. The forest is dominated by hornbeams and copper beeches.

Across the meadow, the path leads past an emerging meander. The Dahme's meander changes slowly but permanently due to the current.

The Dahme valley and the Eichberge are designated as a nature reserve and as an FFH area part of the European protected area system Natura 2000. The course of the path has been documented as part of a LIFE project by the Stiftung NaturSchutzFonds Brandenburg.

Length: 5 km, 1.5 to 2 hours

Start / Finish: At the Briesen monument

Route: Briesen - Briesen Castle - Eichberge - Dahmewiese - Briesen Castle - Briesen

Waymarking: Partly blue point

Arrival and departure by public transport: Bus to Briesen
