The path passes three lakes – Lake Todnitzsee, Kleiner Tonteich and Großer Tonteich. Swans, ducks, great crested grebes, coots and many other species live here. The Kleiner Tonteich and Großer Tonteich lakes are former clay pits, and the water quality is outstanding. One of the region’s traditional nudist bathing areas can be found here. The lakes provide the ideal swimming conditions for locals and visitors and are very popular. The circular path is ideal for a swimming trip for the whole family in the summer.
