  • Slide at the lido Neue Mühle in Königs Wusterhausen, Foto: Steffen Lehmann, Lizenz: TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH
An attractive residential and park landscape with little ponds and canals known as “Little Venice”. This is an enjoyable, stress-free, easy walk that’s also suitable for families with baby buggies. Walkers who would like to shorten the approach walk from Königs Wusterhausen station should take the train or bus to Niederlehme station. Coming from Berlin, you can also get there or back on the passenger boat that stops at the Neue Mühle lock. In summer it is worth visiting the traditional open-air swimming pool by the River Staabe, Neue Mühle lido. On the way back to Königs Wusterhausen, a detour through the Tiergarten nature reserve (marked) is recommended (an extra 2.5 kilometres). Hiking fans will combine this circular trail with the “Round Lake Krüpelsee and Lake Krimnicksee” walk (number 3; about 22 kilometres).
