A walking route rich in natural beauty that connects the town centre of Königs Wusterhausen with Lake Krummer See, the Sutschketal nature conservation area and the town of Bestensee. The Sutschketal is considered to be one of the most beautiful valleys in the Dahme-Seen region with over 400 different flowering plants and ferns. There are places to take a break or stay overnight along the way. The valley, which is almost 2 kilometres long and up to 250 metres wide, was named a nature conservation area in 1938, along with Lake Krummer See, because of the beauty of its landscape and the many species of plants and animals it contains. An area of around 63 hectares has been part of the Sutschketal nature conservation area since 1995, and part of the valley is one of the “Natura 2000” European nature protection areas.
