The Heimathaus in Prieros is a half-timbered house, over 250 years old, which attracts attention on the village green. It houses a permanent exhibition on the rural way of life and culture way of life and culture as well as the history of the village. An extensive collection of old utensils and archaeological finds provide information about the life of the people in this region since the end of the 19th century. of the people in this region since the end of the last ice age. One gains insights into historical work methods of flax processing, fishing, boatmen, blacksmiths and brick workers.  In the Prieros Heimathaus, an annual Heimathaus festival, exhibitions on prehistory, early history and village history, and guided tours take place.

      The house is very limited suitable for wheelchairs, at the entrance there is a step about 20 cm high.
      The floor is made of old, quite unevenly laid bricks and there are also individual steps inside the house. Nevertheless, visitors with a wheelchair have already moved around in the house, as well as visitors with a walker.
      There is no toilet on the grounds of the Heimathaus, but there is a wheelchair-accessible public toilet about 50 meters away.
