Lake Schmöldesee is part of the Teupitz-Köriser lake chain. The natural bathing area is located in the immediate vicinity of the D66 natural campsite. There are parking spaces in front of the main entrance to the campsite. A signpost with the inscription "Sonnenstrand" leads to the right of the entrance onto a forest path through light pine forest. After a few hundred metres the sparkling water becomes visible on the left. A sweeping sandy beach leads directly to Lake Schmöldesee. Surrounded by pine trees with gnarled roots, there are many sunny or shady spots on which to lie in the deep sand and directly on the shore. At the upper edge of the beach there are tables and benches. The Fontane hiking trail leads directly past the bathing area and camping site.
