Lake Klein Köriser See is part of the Teupitz-Köriser-Seenkette lake district, with over ten interlinking lakes and rivers, and is also part of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. The bathing area by Lake Klein Köriser See is on the youth hostel’s land, and access is via the road to the youth hostel. There is parking just before the entrance to the youth hostel. Lake Klein Köriser See has a water area of 158 hectares; the lowest point, at 10.90 metres, lies in the north-west of the lake. The lake, which is elongated and slightly curved, contains two little islands, one of which is directly opposite the bathing area. No dogs are allowed on this bathing area.

The water in the bathing area is regularly monitored by the district health authority in accordance with the Brandenburg Bathing Water Ordinance and is of excellent quality.
