The steeple of St. Moritz Church in Mittenwalde is the tallest church steeple in the state of Brandenburg that is open to the public. Climbing the approximately 200 steps is a physical challenge for some. But it is well worth the effort, as from the viewing platforms at a height of around 50 metres, visitors can look out across the countryside in all directions. On their way up, visitors pass four church bells dating from 1956. The tower stands at an impressive 67 metres.
