The church tower of St. Moritz Church in Mittenwalde is the highest accessible church tower in the State of Brandenburg. Climbing up the 200 or so steps is a sporting challenge for some people. But the effort is worthwhile – from the viewing platform at a height of some 50 metres, visitors can look in every direction far across the countryside. On the way to the top, visitors will pass four church bells dating from 1956. The tower is a wonderful 67 metres high.
