The main features of the Baroque castle grounds in Königs Wusterhausen, created in 1700, were restored to create a formal entity with the castle. Today, pathways once again lead as historic vistas directly to the castle, and geometric shapes and semicircles, together with the adjoining canals, define the appearance of the gardens.

There are plenty of places to sit and lie on the expansive lawns in front of the picturesque yet simple backdrop of the castle. Children’s groups from schools and nurseries along with couples and families with children regularly visit the park and the directly adjacent Mühleninsel island with its large playground in the heart of the town. The park is freely accessible.

A kayak tour on the Nottekanal and the Mühlenfließ provides an unusual perspective of the gardens. There is a kayak rental service on Mühleninsel island.
