Lake Köthener See is a shallow lake lying at the foot of the Krausnick hills. The water from the River Spree is diverted via the Dahme flood canal through the lake to the River Dahme. The lake, which covers almost 150 hectares, is the ideal place to learn and consolidate basic sailing skills.
