To the south of the idyllic castle grounds at the heart of Königs Wusterhausen lies the town lock on the Nottekanal. This historic waterway was used in the 19th century for transporting the barges laden with building materials to and from Berlin; today, it is a natural, unspoilt waterway that is ideal for canoe tours.
