West of Königs Wusterhausen, the Notte Canal (Nt) meets the Gallun Canal and from there leads into the Dahme. The Notte Canal is one of the oldest shipping routes in Brandenburg. It is around 25 kilometres long and used to play a central role in the transport of products to Berlin for the brickworks industry. The Gallun Canal flows into the Notte via its own lock,
which has a boat-towing facility. The facility is run by the Dahme-Notte district water board.
