The Trinitatiskirche Church, a typical Reformation church, was completed in 1585. An extension was built in 1581/82 featuring the Renaissance gable wall on the north side and the high brick roof. The entire interior fit-out took until shortly before the outbreak of the Thirty Years’ War. The altar was installed in 1594. The pulpit was created in 1671 from sandstone with a wooden canopy. The building is a three-aisle, rib-vaulted, externally plastered hall church. The chancel on the east side is closed on three sides and features a square tower integrated in the floor plan in the west. The tower, which transitions into an octagonal tower halfway up is crowned by a “bulbous” dome. The rib-vaulted ceiling reveals that the reconstruction of the church took place at the same time as the extension of the Renaissance palace.
