The Biebach Pottery is the last of Hohenleipisch's 24 former potteries, passed down from generation to generation. Old records at the Cottbus Chamber of Crafts record that Adolf Biebach, born in 1874, founded a pottery in Hohenleipisch in November 1903. The business has survived two world wars, socialism, and a plunge into the icy waters of the market economy. Throughout its history, Hohenleipisch is undoubtedly considered a stronghold of the pottery trade; in addition to the 24 potteries, there were also 16 brickworks here. The first mention of a potter in the village dates back to 1505. Master potter Andreas Biebach and his wife Nicole Biebach, who works as a ceramic painter, still work at the Biebach Pottery today.
