The tannery is located in the Kirchhain district. Tanning has a long tradition in the town. It combines various disciplines, such as craftsmanship and physically demanding labor, but also natural sciences, mechanics, and meteorology. Tanning is still carried out traditionally at Manfred Otto's tannery. Services include the sale of hides and hides for special applications, such as drum hides, and the provision of taxidermy. Guests can also take a guided tour of the tannery and receive advice on leather and hides, or arrange for training upon request.
