An outbuilding within the grounds of the GbR Outdoor Experience is set up as a demonstration honey workshop. The workshop explains how golden honey is extracted and anyone who would like to can also lend a hand. The owners also explain why our honey is so healthy, what ingredients contribute to it and how bees produce honey. The workshop welcomes both individuals as well as school classes, kindergartens, clubs and associations, senior citizens and anyone with an interest in bees. Visitors can also make their own candles, Christmas or Easter decorations from beeswax in the candle-making workshop. Children’s birthday parties or Christmas parties can also be arranged. The main building houses a small farm shop where honey and its by-products are sold.

The garden is designed as a meadow orchard and a bee trail. The garden provides an interesting insight into the life and significance of honey bees for nature and humans, the biodiversity of honey plants and the creation of natural habitats for insects and wildlife.

Seating dotted around the garden is perfect for relaxing and observing the bees at work. On request, guided tours are also available through the bee garden. The bee information point is always more than happy to offer nature-lovers specific advice about setting up a bee-friendly garden at home.
