The work of Elke Gründemann was influenced by her training as a glass engraver and her study as a glass designer at various art schools. Today, she works confidently in various artistic fields. Apart from stained glass, her work includes glass and porcelain sculptures, objects and vessels, including wind chimes, pendants and Christmas decorations. She also works with painting and graphics as well as layout design for advertisements. Her works are usually abstract and not figurative. The artist regularly runs drawing courses at the VHS Finsterwalde Vocational College.
