How to get there:
  • Train: Take the RE3 (Elsterwerda-Biehla) regional express train from Berlin central station to Falkenberg / Elster (about 1.5 hours).
  • Car: Take the B101, B87 and L67 from Berlin to Falkenberg / Elster (about 2 hours).

Route: Falkenberg, Kiebitz, Uebigau, München, Schwarze Elster Cycle Path, Bomsdorf, Kiebitz, Falkenberg

Route description: From the Kiebitz local recreation area, the tour runs through wetlands before you reach Uebigau, whose town centres is one of the historic town centres in Brandenburg. The route continues to München, a village steeped in tradition, which also hosts an Oktoberfest folk festival every year. Continuing in a northwesterly direction, you will hike along the banks of the Schwarze Elster River on the Schwarze Elster Cycle Path. This is an asphalted path and is perfect for an enjoyable walk because it is flat. Keep left when you arrive in Bomsdorf – the route now heads through the forest back to the Kiebitz local recreation area.

Trail conditions / surface: The tour leads along unspoilt and partially asphalted paths, flat terrain
