In the season from the beginning of June to the beginning of October, every Sunday from Finsterwalde railway station, historic railcars (772 342 or 772 332) belonging to the Lusatian Steam Locomotive Club carry passengers to the former open-cast mine F60 in Lichterfeld, which is open to visitors. The timetable matches the arrival of the regional trains at Finsterwalde railway station. Three pairs of trains run between Finsterwalde, Massen, Schacksdorf and Lichterfeld. The Zschipkau-Finsterwalde railway once travelled along these rails – affectionately known as the “Zschippchenbahn railway” by locals. Tickets can be bought on the train.
