Inside the mill is a display with containers, products and tools from the everyday life of the mill.

The following story tells why it came to Elsterwerda in 1866:

During his journeyman years, the miller Müller Julius Jentzsch met and fell in love with Wilhelmine in 1860, the daughter of the Elsterwerda gardener Karl Gottlob Gottschalk. They married in the parish church in Elsterwerda on February 3, 1863 and then lived for three years in the mill in Dobrilugk, now Doberlug. In 1866, the mill was dismantled at the request of the homesick Wilhelmine and set up in the meadow west of the town of Elsterwerda, near the railway station that was built later.

Today, the mill stands on a hill in the miniature adventure park.

Technical details:
  • Overall height of the post mill: about 12 metres
