Catch a glimpse into the past in the village of Lindena near Doberlug. A visit to the Lindena Farming Museum is a special experience for the whole family. Laid out in a typical Upper Lusatian house, known as an Umgebindehaus, with stables and barn, the museum showcases the life of a typical farming family around 100 years ago. No matter whether you visit the lovingly furnished parlour, kitchen, bedroom, laundry room or outbuilding, you sense everywhere how simply and modestly people used to live and work.

Children will absolutely love the classroom fitted out with original school benches and writing slates, with the highlight being participation in a school lesson “from the Imperial age”.

Waffles and hot cakes are baked on request.

No fixed opening hours!

Guided tours are offered for a minimum of six people and need to be booked in advance by telephone at the Elsterland Office.
