The local history museum is housed in a half-timbered house, built in 1756 and now under monument protection, which was once used as a soap works. In addition to exhibitions on the history of the town and its agricultural cultural and educational history, it also houses a remarkable exhibition of tin figures by the internationally renowned engraver J. Frauendorf. In the courtyard is a replica of a Bronze age settlement with exhibits and models. The building complex also includes the restored “Kulturscheune”, which is used for events, private parties and functions.
