One of South Brandenburg’s last big and largely intact moor landscapes is protected in the nature reserve “Loben”. Cotton grass, mosses and various types of grass flourish here. The landscape is characterised by birch trees among glittering water surfaces, reed and dead pine trunks. The 5.60 metres tall Loben Tower allows for views across this little wonder of nature.

The viewing platform that is reached via stairs, towers above the surrounding trees and bushes and it is protected by a distinct triangular roof. Visitors can therefore listen to tree and moor frogs, or watch cranes, sea eagles, bitterns and snipes, even in poor weather. In autumn, the moor grass turns orange.

The tower is located along the circular trail through the Loben nature reserve. Döllingen is a suitable starting point where parking is available. The branch by the country road (L62) is slightly closer to the tower.
