The ostrich farm on the Bolzenteich pond is still quite new. The ostrich farm is located on the Bolzenteich pond not far from the town of Schönewalde, in the town district of Wildenau, in the south of Brandenburg. Apart from appropriate animal husbandry, the focus here is on animal breeding. Currently, the ostrich farm has eight ostriches, eight Cameroon sheep, four dwarf goats, three micropigs, two cats and the farm dog Teddy. At the moment, there are nine breeding trios, that is to say each trio has one rooster and two hens reared within an enclosure of some 2,500 square metres. The welfare and health of the animals is the top priority here.
