The Jüterbog Skate Arena is situated directly on the Flaeming-Skate route in the Luckenwalder Berg industrial estate and is integrated into the Flaeming-Skate circuit network. The sports facility features an oval track 200 metres long and just under six metres wide, with a 12 per cent gradient in the bends, as well as a 20 x 40-metre hockey pitch. The facilities are complemented by a 500-metre-long, six-metre-wide road circuit featuring left and right-hand bends as well as inclines and descents. The arena is suitable for technical training, performance testing and as a venue for top-class competitions – it has already hosted a European Speed Skating Championship as well as numerous German and regional championships. Clubs and groups from Germany and abroad use the facility as a training camp. The local sports club, SV Flaeming-Skate e. V., offers training in skating techniques and regularly organises traditional events for all age groups, including activities specifically for children and young people.
