The seventeenth stage of the Tour Brandenburg runs for over 51 kilometres from Treuenbrietzen to the spa town of Bad Belzig. The tour winds through the Niederer Fläming region. The route reaches the Hoher Fläming Nature Park at the village of Raben with its nature park centre and castle. It continues on via the hamlet of Bergholz to the historic town centre of Bad Belzig, which is also dominated by a historic building, Eisenhardt Castle.

How to get there: Take the RE1 regional train from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) to Berlin Wannsee. From here take the RB33 regional train (Jüterbog) to Treuenbrietzen (about 1 hour).

Return journey: From Bad Belzig, take the RE7 regional train (Wünsdorf-Waldstadt) to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about 1 hour).

Route: Treuenbrietzen, Lüdendorf, Schwabeck, Schmögelsdorf, Marzahna, Lobbese, Garrey, Klein Marzehns, Raben, Grubo, Bergholz, Bad Belzig

Sights:
  • Treuenbrietzen: Church of St Mary, local history museum, Church of St Nicholas, open-air pool
  • Raben, village church, Rabenstein Castle, Hoher Fläming nature park centre in the “Old distillery"
  • Grubo: fieldstone church
  • Bad Belzig: spa gardens, Parish Church of St Mary, Eisenhardt Castle, Roger Loewig House, Briccicus Church

Possible combinations:

  • Europaradweg (European Bicycle Route R1)

Trail conditions / Surface: The tour is mainly along well-maintained cycle paths, which are mainly asphalt. Large sections of the Tour Brandenburg have already been upgraded, signposted and can be ridden without restrictions.
