Unobstructed views of hills against a green background are not exactly in abundance in the mainly flat region of Brandenburg. This is reason alone why this tour through the northern Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park, not far from the outskirts of Berlin, is not to be missed. The Löwendorf hill boasts an observation tower promising a wide vista into the Nuthe-Nieplitz lowlands and especially into the Glauer Valley. This landscape was once created by meltwater from the last Ice Age and is now home to a wildlife park and nature park centre providing lots of information on the flora and fauna of the region.
