The ‘Historic Town Centres’ cycle route No. 4 begins in Potsdam and takes you through Brandenburg an der Havel. The route continues along the sparkling lakes of the Havel to Ziesar Castle and into the forests of the Hoher Fläming, featuring Wiesenburg Palace as well as Rabenstein and Eisenhardt Castles.

Along the way, you’ll encounter landmarks such as Brandenburg Cathedral, which bears witness to the conquest of the Mark, learn about the luxurious lifestyle of the bishops in the castle chapel at Ziesar, see many towering castle towers and discover medieval princely gatherings in the town of Jüterbog. Passing Zinna Monastery and continuing through the asparagus town of Beelitz, your cycle tour finally ends amidst the Havel landscape of Potsdam.

You can also break the tour down into shorter, family-friendly stages. During the warmer months, lakes and outdoor swimming pools also offer a chance to cool off. The treetop walk and barefoot park, or the asparagus and fruit farms along the route, are ideal for a break. City maps and stage maps will help you find your way.
