A short Fläming bicycle tour from Eisenhardt Castle in Bad Belzig to Wiesenburg Castle: Starting at Eisenhardt Castle in Bad Belzig, the route follows the European Bicycle Route R1 to Grubo and continues from there via Jeserig to Wiesenburg Castle. Be sure to take a detour through the castle park to the Bahnhof am Park – it’s well worth it! The return trip to Bad Belzig is via Schmerwitz with its ecological estate and the Königsblau pottery as well as the artists’ village of Borne with a beautiful view of the post mill – the Borner Bockwindmühle.

Length: The bicycle tour from Eisenhardt Castle via Wiesenburg Castle is 36 kilometres long. The links to the railway stations extend the tour by 2 kilometres (Bad Belzig) and 5 kilometres (Wiesenburg).

  • Raben: Rabenstein Castle, Nature Park Centre with tourist information centre and hands-on exhibition, fieldstone church
  • Hiking car park: Riesenstein and Brautrummel
  • Grubo: Fieldstone church (key available from the Weber family, telephone +49 33849 50564)
  • Jeserig/Fläming: Fieldstone church from the outside, refreshments at Brandtsheide family hotel
  • Wiesenburg: Castle from the outside, castle grounds, historic town centre, country golf park at the railway station with ball-throwing, naturalised golf course, model vehicle world
  • Schlamau: Fieldstone church from the outside, Kaiser-Bär doll and bear factory
  • Schmerwitz: Schmerwitz Estate with farm shop, restaurant and Königsblau pottery
  • Hagelberg: Brandenburg’s highest summit cross, Old and New Monument to the Battle of Hagelberg
  • Klein Glien: Glien Estate with Coconat Co-Working, manor park, church
  • Borne: Fieldstone church, Bockwindmühle (post mill) via a small detour, artists’ studios:

Trail conditions/surface: Combination of moderately frequented asphalt roads, car-free cycle path and roadside cycle path
