This is a medieval castle complex of which only the impressive keep and barrel-vaulted cellar remain. The other buildings around the castle are from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when they were rented out to the district authority of the time as representative buildings. Today, Loburg is a district of the town of Möckern in the Jerichower Land region of Saxony-Anhalt. The main building features a local history parlour with exhibits from different centuries. The association Loburger Weg e.V. has maintained the castle complex since 1999, and provides tours upon consultation. The castle is also open on certain dates for events, for example on Open Monument Day.
