Blankensee - Brandenburg as though from a picture book Literature is still at home today in Blankensee, a pretty district of Trebbin. With Hermann Sudermann (1857-1928), a lord of the castle who was also a literature enthusiast lived on the estate near Trebbin. The small village even has its own festival with the “Blankenseer Musiksommer”. The agricultural museum is located in the oldest building in the village. The half-timbered house built in 1649 presents the everyday lives of farmers over two centuries. Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park and the wildlife enclosures at NaturParkZentrum Glauer Tal as well as many other viewing points can be explored from Blankensee. In Blankensee itself, visitors can try some delicious regional products such as freshly caught fish from the local fishery, local honey from the apiary and sometimes even warm bread from the clay oven or home-made cakes from Landbäckerei Röhrig.
