The gallery in the gatehouse of Eisenhardt Castle has been exhibiting contemporary visual arts from the Fläming region and beyond for twelve years. The two exhibition rooms are in the gateway of the castle opposite the library. In addition to the exhibits, visitors can also browse and buy graphics, small works on paper, catalogues, postcards and brochures. With five exhibitions per year, visitors can enjoy the ever-changing variety that enriches Bad Belzig and the castle as one of the region’s tourism highlights. The works range from sculptures to paintings, graphics, drawings and photography to conceptual works, installations and performances. Kunstverein Hoher Fläming art association also organises regular concerts and readings as a framework programme to accompany exhibition openings and previews. Artist talks and work groups complete the offering.

In addition to renowned artists, the association also presents active talents to promote the young art scene. At the end-of-year exhibition from November, visitors can see works by all of the association’s members as well as guests from all over Germany and meet the artists. The association sees itself as an identity-establishing offering makes the region’s visual arts accessible to both travellers and locals alike.
