Külsoer Mill on the River Zahnabach is located in the heart of the "Wittenberger Vorfläming and Zahnabachtal” landscape conservation area. Mentioned as far back as the middle of the 14th century in a deed of gift and used up until 1952 as a water-powered grain mill, today the mill is a popular restaurant and the perfect destination for a day out. Experience the Fläming region at first hand here particularly with children. Guests are met by a rustic and comfortable ambience in the cosy old farmhouse parlour, complete with original tiled stove and head-height door frames. The rural styled Mühlenraum room seats 30 people and is very popular for family parties and celebrations. The food is entirely based on German cuisine and tasty traditional fare. During the warmer months of the year, weary hikers are treated to a welcoming chilled drink on the 500 square metre beer garden, shaded by ancient oak trees and other deciduous trees. You are sure to find a quiet spot here with a view over the wider landscape.

On the nature adventure park, right next to the mill, young and old can learn lots of interesting facts about the nature of the Fläming region and about energy and high-voltage power lines in a fun way. Walkers should look out for the species-rich fauna and flora, including beavers, nightingales, kingfishers, golden orioles and wild orchids, on the Kierenberg Circular Trail.
