The wilderniss school does not offer conventional nature and landscape tours but if you want to learn more about the wilderness on your own doorstep, the Wildnisschule Hoher Fläming is still the perfect place to go. Paul Wernicke and his team organise workshops on nature in nature at the foot of the Hagelberg. The programme includes week-long camps for children and young people during the holidays, long and short weekend courses for adults, as well as further training in modules spread throughout the year. The offers "... is about understanding one's own signature of the landscape and solving the riddles of the fauna and flora," says Paul Wernicke, the Fläming wolf representative and trained wilderness educator. The seminars are about bird language, the art of reading tracks is explained and the practical and careful use of nature's resources is also a topic. For example, participants can practise building a fireplace, try their hand at natural crafts such as wood, flint and bone working, and of course there is also a mushroom course and information on the use of wild plants and herbs.
