On the edge of the original village center of Mahlow, not far from the village church, lies the access to the Mahlower Höhe. The former landfill site has been renaturalized and is now a habitat for protected species. With a maintenance program for the creation and preservation of open landscapes, ground-nesting birds in particular find a home on the heights. Rare species such as the linnet, skylark, green woodpecker, red-backed shrike and oriole have already been sighted here during surveys. But also amphibians, reptiles and insects find new habitats there. Guests can enjoy a great view of Berlin from the heights. Various circular paths lead around the heights. Benches invite you to linger at various points and a trim trail offers the opportunity to test your fitness.
