The mill mound of Borne windmill has been there for centuries - the current one was built in 1803. The mill was used for milling until 1948 and grinding until it was decommissioned in 1958. In the 1970s, the mill was heavily damaged and extensively restored on the initiative of the mill association. The sails have also been operational again since 2012, so the mill regularly turns in the wind.
