The Gölsdorfer Mühle is located on the Elbe Cycle Route Berlin-Leipzig and on the Fläming Skate RK1. The post mill was first mentioned in 1542. Badly damaged in the 30 Years War, the mill was then rebuilt. It survived further acts of war, e.g. in 1813, without major damage and was actively used until 1980. After the post mill stood still for some time, it was reconstructed from 1987 to 1990 with the support of the Denkmalschutzbehörde. So it was able to be put back into operation at the 800th anniversary on May 6, 1995 for the foam filling plant. Due to static problems, the mill had to be closed again less than two decades later. Thanks to the commitment of the Gölsdorf village community and the newly founded association, the extensive renovation work could begin in April 2012 with the help of funding and a contribution from the community. Just in time for Mill Day 2013, the grand opening of our mill, which was renovated in its old glory, took place with the restoration of the full functionality of the entire mill technology.
