The hiking trails and cycle paths in the Hoher Fläming region make the Gut Schmerwitz estate the ideal base for hikers and cyclists. To create a base, as it were, the former company manager Rita Neumann created six holiday apartments in a two-storey building within the estate grounds in 2012. All the equipment in the apartments is modern and of the highest quality, and there is a proprietary bike store for guests to store their bikes. The farm shop with its extensive range of natural foods is just around the corner and also sells ‘freshly laid breakfast eggs’ directly from the chicken coop to guests.
