Andrea Rongelraths-Ganzer’s dream of a Western ranch became a reality in Trüben, a town district of Zerbst / Anhalt. The Western riding state champion is herself an instructor in Western riding and her ranch is especially appreciated for its family-focussed and friendly atmosphere. Even national coach Kay Wienrich regularly visits the ranch and gives lessons. When training riders, the main aim is to establish a harmonious relationship between the rider and horse. Of course, riding skills are also taught. But that alone does not create a solid relationship with the horse. The rider therefore needs to develop an understanding of the behaviour of the horse. She gives riders methods and instructions for achieving a better relationship with their horse.

She offers training for riders as well as horses.

The riding facilities on the farm include a large illuminated riding arena (50 metres x 60 metres), a portable marquee (20 metres x 30 metres) and a large round pen (20 metres in diameter and 3 metres high), fully enclosed and illuminated. A comfortable, heated construction caravan is perfect for shelter in winter. The riding centre is operated by the Silent Corner Riding Association e. V. The ranch prefers hirers and riders to become association members if possible. In return, the association covers all costs, including the maintenance and care of the entire ranch.

The Silent Horse Ranch offers the following services:
  • Riding lessons (groups and individuals), also with training horses, for adults, teenagers and children
  • Hacking
  • Weekend courses (floor work, loading training, gymnastics, tournament preparation etc.)
  • Pack ponies for pilgrimage trips
  • Basic training of young horses (round pen, leading, longe and double-longe, saddle and bit practice, breaking in)
  • Advanced training (terrain safety, trails, pleasure, reining, horsemanship)
  • Training of tournament horses
  • Loading training
