The Museumsherberge hostel may appear historic because of its age, but it is thoroughly modern. The facility is in the listed museum village of Glashütte in they idyllic landscape of Baruth glacial valley right on circular course 8 of Flaeming-Skate.

The former "Alte Schule" school building dating from 1853 has been lovingly renovated. It now boasts various double rooms with shower and toilet, a dining hall and a clubroom. The ground floor is accessible and also has a wheelchair-friendly toilet. One of the highlights is the bio-bathing pond, which guests can use free of charge.
The guest house was built in 2003. There are eight, friendly shared rooms. There are shared showers and toilets and a wheelchair-friendly shower and toilet in the hall.
Children, teenagers and families are heartily welcome. People with disabilities and their families are particularly welcome.
There are lots of activities for school classes, kindergarden groups ad youth groups at the hostel and in the museum village. The hostel is ideally equipped for club celebrations, sports outings and hiking groups, as well as family celebrations and senior outings.
