The exhibition in the Alte Posthalterei gives visitors an entertaining look behind the scenes of the Prussian postal system. At listening stations, contemporaries such as the philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Schelling describe their journey over dusty roads and their arrival in Beelitz. The texts were read by film legend Herbert Köfer, cabaret artist Andrea Meissner and actor Hans-Jochen Röhrig.

The building of the "Alte Posthalterei" was erected in 1789 by the then mayor Gottlieb Ferdinand Kaehne and is the only such well-preserved Prussian post office building from stagecoach times.
