Since opening in 2003, the Fläming Walk near Berlin and Potsdam has become the biggest walking park in Brandenburg. The route network currently consists of 43 circular courses of between five kilometres and 22 kilometres in length (about 450 kilometres in total). All twenty-three town districts are included in the infrastructure. All of the overview boards you come to along the way show the routes and provide information on sights and offerings. Numerous signs help with orientation on site and in the villages and towns.

Every town district in the municipality is also a starting point. So there are twenty-three starting points and one very special starting point at the Walkmühle mill near Woltersdorf. All of the starting point have a large overview board with route and tourism information. Among other things, the signs include the tour names, the route number, the colour marking of the route, the length of the route, the trail conditions and classification. All of the routes are fully signposted. All tours are shown in clockwise direction. You can, however, essentially start the tour from any point. The example below is the Pfefferfliessroute, a sporty and demanding walking tour through attractive landscape.

Tour 6 - Pfefferfliessroute

At over 20 kilometres, the Pfefferfliessroute is one of the longest routes in the FlämingWalk network. It offers diverse natural sights and lots of opportunities to stop for refreshments and is sporty and demanding. The tour gets its name from the approximately 16 kilometre long stream by the same name, which rises near Frankenförde and flows into the Nieplitz near Körzin. There are two different options for Tour 6. The trail via Nettgendorf leads through one of the smallest villages on the FlämingWalk, where you can stop for refreshments.  The second variant takes you through a diverse meadow with long, straight sections of the route.

Length: about 20 kilometres
Start/Finish: Gemeindehaus Gottsdorf, 14947 Nuthe-Urstromtal in the district of Gottsdorf
Route sign: White arrow with a red boarder, Tour No. 6, "Pfefferfliessroute"
Route description/towns:
  • Tour starts in Gottsdorf
  • either through Nettgendorf with refreshments along the way or through the natural surroundings
  • in Dobbrikow, the two routes meet again, Café "die Scheune"
  • via Mühlenberg
  • through the forest to Hennickendorf, with occasional views of the Pfefferfließniederung lowland
  • In Pegasus Park commercial area, you can take a break and have something to eat or drink
  • through the forest to Berkenbrück
  • along the “Oberes Pfefferfließ” nature reserve
  • back to the starting point along Bliesenbergstrasse

Conditions of the trail: about one fifth of the route is asphalted, the remainder consists of forest and meadow/field pathways
